The score has no basis
A number is copied without its method, denominator or actual control evidence.
General manufacturing core · assessed practice
Connect credible failures to controls people can carry out.
A risk row looks reassuring. The instruction says something else. The inspection does not fit the shift. Build a linked draft your team can review before paperwork becomes an unsupported release decision.
Six modules, original fictional records and a linked working pack. Read the assessment and service terms below before enrolling.
The decision you learn to defend
Produce six traceable records, with evidence, uncertainty and actual human authority.
All teaching records and the T1 scale are fictional. This core does not promise full automotive, aerospace or medical-device conformity.
FMEA and Control Plans
A number is copied without its method, denominator or actual control evidence.
A purchase order or revised document is mistaken for a control that has been implemented and tested.
Affected work, safe response, escalation or restart authority is missing. That can create preventable escapes, rework and inconsistent decisions.
FMEA and Control Plans
Quality, manufacturing and process engineers, supervisors and cross-functional team members. Read a simple process flow/specification and use basic arithmetic. No coding or special FMEA software is required.
This is practical manufacturing PFMEA-to-Control-Plan work. It introduces DFMEA responsibility as a contrast. It does not replace licensed customer/sector tables, full device risk management, acceptance-sampling expertise or actual authorization.
FMEA and Control Plans
Fictional worked example. Larkspur’s Op20 bore must be12.000–12.020 mm under its supplied drawing. The initial PFMEA cites a subjective visual check. A proposed gauge is not installed. The draft plan and instruction conflict.
Three checks at 80 seconds require 240 seconds. RPN36 does not approve that workload. The case’s last valid check ends at unit 120; unit 144 is latest. Under the supplied reaction rule, the initial suspect set is121–144, or24 units, subject to the stated traceability and valid-check premises.
Hold operational approval. Reconcile the source versions and coverage with Omar, the case authority; validate the proposed measurement and reaction; resolve the workload without silently reducing protection. Keep planned checks distinct from performed results. The course teaches how to reach and document that decision.
FMEA and Control Plans
Output 1
The drawing owns the limit. A later worksheet cannot silently replace it.
Output 2
Oversize bore → loose insert/customer assembly interruption → missed wear compensation.
Output 3
Under fictional T1, S4/O1/D5 escalates despite RPN20 being less than36.
Output 4
240 seconds/hour of proposed work does not fit180 seconds/hour.
Output 5
6/600=1.0%;1/400=0.25%. This observed difference is not isolated causal proof.
Output 6
A revised instruction cannot approve itself or silently change the Control Plan.
Six downloadable CSV worksheets match the six Course Hub record structures. They are original QMS working drafts, not official AIAG/SAE/IAQG forms. Use authorized, minimized workplace facts and the actual governing method.
FMEA and Control Plans
Module 1
Begin with the source, not a blank rating cell. Build: Scope, sources and process-flow record.
Module 2
Write the chain so somebody can challenge it. Build: Failure-mode, effect and cause register.
Module 3
A score needs a definition and a basis. Build: Rating basis and action-decision record.
Module 4
A control has to survive a real shift. Build: Linked Control Plan and reaction draft.
Module 5
Keep planned, installed, verified and effective separate. Build: Implementation and effectiveness record.
Module 6
Review the linked system after a change or escape. Build: Revision, review and handover pack.
Plan about six hours for lessons, practice and independent work. This is a planning estimate, not measured learner completion time. Thirty lab activities and six required coached reflections ask you to decide, calculate, investigate and produce usable records.
FMEA and Control Plans
Seven original explainers use synthetic narration, captions and transcripts. Worked contrasts, source records, arithmetic and usable feedback make you examine the decision. Coach Q is an AI quality and compliance colleague that helps you challenge a draft using the permitted evidence.
Fresh cases, two decision banks and three distinct 30-question exam versions use separate records. Coach Q provides navigation only during independent work; document drafting is restricted. The final exam has 30 questions, with24/30 required to pass, three attempts and a 24-hour wait after a failed attempt. There is no countdown. Complete all 30 labs and six required reflections before the exam.
Course Hub supports documents, a study plan, focus logs and planned/actual application records. A saved plan or draft is not evidence of completed workplace work. Human marking uses the disclosed criteria. No independent specialist endorsement or measured learner result is claimed.
FMEA and Control Plans
The rubric covers scope/traceability, failure/control reasoning, numeric basis, executable plan/verification and handover. Pass the case at16/20 and the six decisions at10/12, with no unresolved critical error. A justified hold can earn full credit. Will Trikha marks the independent case and decision reasoning. Feedback and another case attempt are included when revision is required. Three case versions rotate, so a later attempt may reuse a version. No fixed review turnaround is promised; contact Will before enrolling if you have a deadline.
Use requires named learner access in the Academy. Lifetime access to the purchased lessons with no recurring subscription. Coach Q currently permits40 requests per rolling24 hours; Hub AI drafting permits15 calls per hour. AI availability can vary. Manual records and worksheets remain available; AI outputs are working drafts. Contact support@qmslearning.com for access or service help. An assessed completion record does not grant product release, risk acceptance or restart authority.
Request a course-purchase refund within three days of purchase; a refund ends course access, or all seats in the refunded pack. See the refund policy. Purchases of five or more seats on one checkout receive the Academy’s10% team discount. Use the quote route for PO or other agreed terms. After three failed exam attempts, contact support for an individual review of reopening; another attempt is not automatic. No guarantee, accreditation, testimonial or learner result is claimed.

FMEA and Control Plans
No. This core teaches manufacturing reasoning and original drafts. Real contracts, current licensed methods, customer requirements and qualified human authority remain necessary.
No special FMEA package is required. Worksheets are CSV; Course Hub provides editable records. Use the format and tool your workplace authorizes.
The learning work is judging evidence, consequences, controls, capacity and authority. AI can draft text; it cannot establish missing facts, perform the physical challenge or approve the process.
A justified hold is correct when it identifies the supplied material gap and next authorized action. Inventing facts or approval is not a way to earn a pass.
No. Technical checks and synthetic fixtures do not establish actual learner transfer or defect reduction. An assessed completion record confirms course requirements, not operational authority or a sector qualification.
The real verified-email first lesson is linked above. It opens lesson1 only; further lessons and assessment require enrollment. Use the team-training route for an agreed quote or PO process.
