Module 1
Source and authority register
Identify the applicable controlled source, unresolved access and the person who can decide.

Key Characteristics · practical guidance
A gauge sticker and ten acceptable readings do not settle every process question. Build a connected record that shows what is known, what is missing, who has authority and whether to trial, continue or hold.
Six modules · 12 lessons · 30 practice activities · six reusable records · independent human assessment. Text, diagrams and interactive practice; no recorded video or voice.
Practice preparing a defensible recommendation before the actual authorized person makes the operational decision. Missing evidence can justify a hold. A training pass never grants product-release authority.
Module 1
Identify the applicable controlled source, unresolved access and the person who can decide.
Module 2
Connect the product characteristic to the operation, process factor and evidence needed.
Module 3
Specify the method, task suitability, sequence, traceability and missing evidence.
Module 4
Separate observed results, stability, capability and claims that the packet cannot support.
Module 5
Name triggers, containment, responsible people, permitted restart and records.
Module 6
Recommend a bounded trial, continue or hold; define conditions and review the effect of change.
Each module connects a worked example, meaningful practice, reflection and an editable record. Download blank CSV worksheets and a completed fictional worked pack. In the Course Hub, edit and save matching blank records, plan study, use the focus timer and log proposed or verified workplace application separately.

K1 bore limits are 19.96–20.04 mm. Ten ordered results are inside those limits and rise across the run. The packet gives a current calibration date, but no calibration results, task measurement study, suitable stability study or capability analysis. No serial or shipment approval is supplied.
Sequence 1–10. Dashed lines are drawing limits, not statistical control limits.

This is a guidance-based practical course. It uses readable historical IAQG guidance with edition/date warnings, current SAE edition metadata and general NIST measurement and variation principles. The full AS9103B:2022 standard was unavailable for authoring. Full AS9103B requirements and clause-by-clause conformity are outside the approved scope. Obtain an authorized current standard, applicable customer requirements and approved company procedures for actual work.
For quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, process owners and reviewers who can read basic drawing limits and process records. Advanced SPC, comprehensive MSA, full capability-study design, physical inspection qualification and customer-specific approval rules require other instruction and actual source authority.
Coach Q can discuss permitted practice and help challenge unsupported claims. It cannot supply missing evidence or approvals. You remain responsible for checking its output. Independent assessment coaching is restricted; automatic document generation, revision and template extraction are disabled for this course.
Complete the required practice and reflections, a fresh 30-question exam, a fresh independent case and six reasoned decisions. Will Trikha marks the independent submissions against the disclosed rubric. Feedback and a fresh case retry when needed are included. Support and appeals: will@qmslearning.com. No fixed turnaround is promised.
The current assessment settings require 24/30 on the exam, 16/20 on the case and 10/12 on decisions, with no critical error. Exam access allows three attempts with a 24-hour wait between attempts; contact support for any further reopening. An assessed completion record requires all course gates. It is not a professional certification, standard-conformity finding or operating authorization.
These are designed learning activities and assessment rules. Representative learner outcomes, item calibration, completion time and workplace impact have not yet been demonstrated.
Lifetime access to purchased lessons for one named learner, with no recurring subscription. Coach Q currently permits 40 requests per rolling 24 hours and six per minute; availability can vary. Request a course-purchase refund within three days of purchase; a refund ends course access, or all seats in a refunded pack. Read the current refund policy. Team orders of five or more seats in one checkout receive the Academy’s 10% team discount under the current Academy terms.
All items are included. No separate component values or savings are claimed.

I propose Key Characteristics training to practice a defensible trial, continue or hold recommendation using six connected records. We should check its guidance-based scope against our actual needs, controlled sources and customer requirements. Will Trikha marks the independent work with feedback and a fresh retry when needed, with no fixed turnaround. We would use only permitted information and keep operational approval with our authorized people.
Team quote / purchase order discussion
No. Full AS9103B requirements were excluded because the current full standard was unavailable for authoring. This practical scope teaches source boundaries, connected records and defensible decisions.
Yes. Identify the material gap, consequence, responsible owner, next evidence and review condition. Inventing clearance is an error.
Use fictional or sanitized records you are authorized to use. Do not put confidential or controlled technical information into coaching without the required permission and an approved system.
No. It must be your work. Coach restrictions protect the independent case, exam and decisions; marking remains with Will.
